I bought a Clayton Home in April 2016. I am generally pleased with the house but the cabinetry is MDF with pressed paper. I can't imagine why anyone would use pressed paper in wet areas. It now looks terrible, around the door handle under the kitchen sink the paper has worn off and is now down to the bear MDF. My house is just 4 years old. I would appreciate a response from Clayton on what could be done to repair or replace these cabinets. User's recommendation: Great homes but check the finish on cabinets in wet areas. If they are covered in pressed paper...don't buy it or find out if a different finish is available.
