Sorry you lost so much. You should have insisted in installments. The franchises do vary. You were right in reporting to corporate. What I see is that as an employee they routinely overhire. I think they are using hiring to collect data. I submitted transcripts to them and they disappeared. No matter how qualified or experienced they are arbitrary in terms of hours. You absolutely cannot earn a decent living. While I know tutors been there eight months they still only get 2-4 hours and with more tutors than students they are still hiring and still cycling in new tutors. It is quite bizarre. They tell us that we are just like replaceable parts, you know like automobile spark plugs. That hardly does justice to our years in university or teaching. But what do people w/ accounting degrees care? But its quite demoraling and the franchise owners can do what they like on the side with all the info collected such as run a passport agency.
