order items cancelled

I placed an order online for 16 items and within a four day time frame they cancelled over half of my items purchased due to unforeseen issues. I am only receiving 5 items I purchased out of 16 items. They cancelled 11 things I ordered. This is beyond frustrating and irritated that I cannot get the purchase items. I would rather shop online elsewhere to ensure I will receive the items I think I have purchased and not have to play a guessing game on which items I will actually be able to receive. If it says I purchased items and order was confirmed then to get ready for shipment then I should get the entire order I placed, not less than one third of the items. Extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least.
