I luckily left the AM studio in SF, before it went bankrupt. It was run by Karen Shelly. After a few years, another studio showed up with a very misleading website which basically lead one to believe the studio closed since Karen died. Not! It went bankrupt, students did not get refunds, and it became an independent studio with Karen giving lessons. She then died about 2 years later. The AM studios say in Red Wood City, did not buy her out or give a hoot about her customers. So, ask the current people running AM in San Francisco about this and expect no straight answers or no answer at all which is normal.
