Never received refund of money to an online merchant that I never ordered from.

I filed a report to ask for refund of money paid to an online merchant since I don't use online services for merchandise. The merchant in question is in a city in the Midwest USA and I reside in the Eastern area. I could not have made a purchase in the merchant area since I never left my resident state. The amount of request for refund was over the amount of $100 and the agent I spoke to was not helpful to remedy the situation and gave me the impression that he was only about keeping the money. He even declined my request to check with the merchant and see who had purchased what item(s) and told me that I was responsible for doing that. What kind of financial institution does that? It's going to be one year next month and I still haven't received any response nor the requested refund of my money! How do we trust this kind of service from a company that does not work with their customer and resolve this type of issue? User's recommendation: Don't purchase the vanilla card unless you want the same type of treatment from this financial crap of a business!
