Whole Foods is sadly in a downward spiral. I was previously willing to pay the higher prices because of the superior quality of the food. Unfortunately, quality is no longer available. Last week, I purchased Chicken Korma from the hot food bar. It was thin and flavorless. Figured it was just a bad day. Today, I discovered why the food was inferior. As I was examine the options at the food bar on my visit today, I witnessed an employee dumping hot water to partially empty trays to basically fill them up. Gave it a stir and moved on to the next tray. Repeat. The crust on the cream pie had clearly been frozen for a while. Total mush. No one at the pizza bar except for a few flies milling about the pepperoni. Gone are local products. Gone are previous favorites. Creamy mashed potatoes replaced by skin on chunky goo. Crusty topped macaroni salad. Yuk. Examined a turkey as wick to discover it expired two days ago. Cheese spread gone. Local HATCH Products gone, trash on the floor, general disarray. Last visit for me!
