My 15-year-old daughter and I were driving on a 6-lane highway around 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1st when suddenly I lost complete control of the car for no apparent reason! We careened out-of-control across the lanes back 3 times before landing in the opposite ditch coming to a stop. With the amount of traffic all around us, it is only by Gods grace that we werent killed and/or caused a major pile-up. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. When I exited the car, the rear driver side tire was jutted out. I had it towed to a garage where I was told it was rusted out completely and the frame had basically broken. The mechanic said it would be very time-consuming and expensive to repair - if it was even possible to do so. After posting about our nightmare on the highway on Facebook, a friend sent me the attached recall notification he found on Hondas website that was proclaimed in Canada for THIS VERY PROBLEM! My family and I are Honda people. I always swear by my Hondas but my confidence has been shattered. User's recommendation: Keep an eye on CRV rust!
