Meltdown in my Husqvarna Classica 100 sewing machine

When I turned on the machine, wiring at the bottom of the machine caught fire. Sparks and smoke ensued. Luckily I was able to unplug the machine and get it outside. There is just no reason for this to happen and I believe that I should have the machine wiring repaired at company expense.
