We signed up for a Kanawha policy for my wife and I in 1992 and have made payments ever since. Policy we also paid for a 5% inflation rider which would bring the daily coverage from $150 oi $300 today.Also the coverage was to be lifetime. Now they want to raise premiums 90% , and ,limit the total lifetime benefits to $300,000 ( which at current average costs in our area of $10000mo would cover each of us for only 3yrs not lifetime! which our policy called for and we paid for. The average nursing home stay has also increased to 5-10 years.
