Last Dodge I will buy
2014 "Ram" C/V, this is the Grand Caravan with no interior and no windows. All else, drivetrain, dash , front seats, straight Grand Caravan. For some reason, this particular caravan comes with a 5/50 warranty. When the radio quit at 49,000 miles I thought I could get it fixed under warranty, but no, "electronics only have a 3 year warranty". Then, earlier this week, the transmission started whining terribly and then just died. Just 5 years old, 70k miles, and dead transmission and no warranty coverage. I have only used the car to go to work and back (48 miles/day). Now I need over $3000 for a new transmission in a "new" car. Pathetic. My Nissan has 120k and runs like a top, and I dont think much of Nissan, but they seem better than Dodge. I bought the van because it could carry my wifes wheelchair and things she needs, but now I cannot afford to get it fixed. What a terrible warranty, and the ratings were generally good for this car.
