My 5 year/100 000 m motor-plan expired last year November. I have got 80K km on the clock at the moment. Every time I took it for a service, they would (e.g. with the last service) do 100K km service when I had 61K km on the clock. So they would go according to the next service in the book. The problem is that the parts that was supposed to be replaced for that particular kilometer service were not replaced because apparently they were still OK. They would e.g. tell me that the brake pads are still over a certain % thickness and do not need to be changed. So now I am out of motor plan. I took the car in for a service the other day for it's regular 20 000 km later service. They phoned me and quoted me an additional R12 000 on top of the R3000 for a minor service. All of a sudden everything was wrong! All the brake pads, all 4 the brake discs, the bushes the arms and God knows what else! How can the car be in such a bad shape 20K km later??!!! I am absolutely fuming. This is the biggest money making scam ever. Why could they not have changed everything that is now all of a sudden wrong, when I took it for the last service under motor plan? And then to top it all....the minor service that cost me R3000 consisted of an oil change and a pollen filter change!!!! They did not even change my air-filter. I am so upset and disappointed!!! This is an absolute disgrace!!! I have been ripped off by this KIA Dealer and KIA South Africa and so are many many other women.
