I have banked with TCF for over 20 years. As time went on, it became apparent that security breaches had occurred. All of a sudden, my debit card is replaced. Their website was 1990s. It looks like the bank was sold as of 2017. My debit card number: STOLEN July 2019. Purchases attempted: worldwide. Police in my Michigan town say: Happens all the time. (not just TCF) Today, January 13, 2020, the card which was CANCELLED 8 months ago, was used in someplace in "mountain time" to pay a Medical School in Georgia! AND ALL TCF HAS FOR ME IS A FRIGGIN' AUTOMATED SYSTEM! AND POLITE, BARELY Intelligible PEOPLE PROBABLY IN INDIA . They don't know why a card which is no longer active could generate a call from TCF asking to verify that this charge is valid. JUST DON'T.
