I purchased a vehicle using GM for the loan. Things were going great until I had to have surgery to remove my spleen, and the vehicle I had was hit on the passenger side. I contacted ALL of my creditors (including GM Financial), and they said “you sign the loan papers, and (essentially) we do not give any exceptions. I had GAP insurance, but it did not cover the remaining balance. I told the representative that I just had surgery, the car was totaled, and I can make payments every 2 weeks to catch up the loan. They did not care about that. I have worked so very hard on my credit, and they want to destroy it and my reputation. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH GM FINANCIAL GOING FORWARD.
