I phone bt to ask if i’m in the address book

I've asked bt to remove me from the address book before. They tell me they can't tell me if im in it because i'm no long a customer. This is what my cuurent phone operator says saying its BT's book (can't really argue with that can you) The BT operators can barely speak English are very hard to understand and don't seem to have any clue about what they are doing. This was the case when i was with BT and they overcharged me 2-3 years ago which is when i left them due to unsatisfied result from being overcharged. I now save over about £200 a year with a smaller company based in the uk with uk operators. Why would anyone go with BT with the none service and the fact it would make someone in the uk unemployed at the expense of someone in india. Clearly BT haven't learn't that customer service is important to grow your business and has had to move into other area's because of it which will no doubt also have appauling service I would not go back to this company whatever deal they gave me I still don't know if i'm in the current phone book
