It was 11 days from the time they dropped off the dumpster to the time they picked it up. It collected water, rusted and then stained my driveway when the water ran out. The stains are still there as Storm Guard acted as if that wasn't a big deal. They showed up about 3 to 4 days after they were scheduled. They told me they would finish in 1 day. They didn't, it was 2. They ripped my roof off and then wouldn't tarp it when it started raining even though we told them to. Rather they tried to race the rain with the peel and stick underlayment. The ridge was still on until they ripped that off also in a downpour. The water came in the house, Stained the ceiling in 4 rooms and was running out of the ceiling fan. Rather than offer to paint the ceilings and offer to buy a new ceiling fan, they told me not to turn it on for a day or so. The ceiling they bleached and it actually worked in 3 rooms but 1 room the stains are still there. I stood on the road and watched 1 guy put 5 nails in every shingle. Code is 6. I called Storm Guard and they eventually had the installers hand nail every shingle on the roof. We got dirty looks from the roofers for that. They sawzalled all the gutter nails and then when they put them back the gutters were all out of level and warped. They offered to put new gutters on which they did and paid for but not before trying to tell me my gutters were not good to begin with. After they put them on they made a big deal about me getting new gutters! They ruined them to begin with. They left *** in the side of the house where 1 guy chipped out my stucco for flashing and then just walked away. 1 gutter was left hanging with no screws in it except for the little screws in the back. When they came to remove the gutters they were damaging my house so bad that I told them to leave and I took them down myself. Before they put the gutters up, 1 of the owners wanted to be paid for the roof. I told him they weren't finished and he basically threatened me. When they put the gutters up, they ripped shingles in several places and made no attempt to repair them. They just made like everything was fine. They were supposed to tar the shingles to the edge of the roof which they didn't. The tar stops about 2 to 3 inches above the edge of the roof. In Florida that's food for a hurricane. I was told they would send someone to seal the roof around the edges and they never did. The building permit is still taped to my window 3 months later waiting for the final inspection. I have a feeling they never called it in. Summary: If these guys ever come to your house, slam the door in their face!!!! After the misery they put us through I figured they should do the roof close to or at cost. They didn't see it that way. They gave us a $500 discount. They also showed up with a document that was supposed to be notarized. I didn't realize it until I saw it later in the job and it was notarized. They had me sign it and then take it back to the notary and she notarized it without ever meeting me. That's not Legal!!!
