Geovera over values property they insure
Geovera offers earthquake insurance in the area of California where I have a home. My earthquake policy is up for renewal, and Geovera offered me a renewal. However, Geovera raised the property valuation to 60% over what is a realistic value or cost to rebuild. Geovera's valuation is 50% over the value set by Farmers Insurance in my fire insurance! I wrote Geovera twice to request a downward adjustment in the valuation in the past 40 days. I received no reply. I called Geovera twice, and received no reply. Just excuses. Geovera over values property to drive up the deductible on their policies. If my home were destroyed by an earthquake, I would pay more than 24% of the cost to rebuild. I don't need insurance from a company this untrustworthy. Such conduct makes me believe that when it came time to pay a claim, Geovera would not pay. Don't insure with Geovera unless you want an expensive hassle every year.
