Freddie Mac is the owner of many mortgages and makes about 10,000 each day. They use OCWEN Loan Servicing, LLC a debt collector to service subprime loans that may be delinquent or in a position to receive Obama's Home Made Affordable Loan Modifications called [HAMP]. As you may be aware last week Freddie Mac asked Congress to Bail them out for a second time with our Tax dollars! Freddie Mac attempts to appear as if they are helping needy homeowners in this fragile economy to get home modifications! The truth of the matter is that OCWEN Loan Servicing Company changed names from OCWEN Bank after it was closed down for Illegal activities. OCWEN makes it almost impossible to receive a HAMP Modification. Freddie Mac has OCWEN steer homeowners away from HAMP modifications to another modification with no government oversight so you can fail again! A new tool they are using for evaluation for modifications after March 1, 2010 is called the "IMMINET DEFAULT INDICATOR". Borrowers who are current on their loans and struggling, or less than 60 days delinquent and have legitimate HAMP hardships, and otherwise meet the eligibility criteria for HAMP, can be denied by this innocuous tool they developed. There is page after page of operating instructions for this tool on Freddie Mac's web site. It would take a "Rocket Scientist" to accurately program and accurately operate and interpret this program. Their guidelines show page after page of errors that can be caused by this Imminent Default Indicator tool! No reasonable person should or would be able to know where they stand. One cannot prove that an operator made an error. In my case they applied the tool and it indicated that I did not qualify for HAMP after two Govt Housing Counselors said I did. Their Indicator concluded I was current on my mortgage [a LIE, as I am behind 1 1/2 mo.]And that I have income to pay my mortgage another lie! Although I could pay my mortgage I could not pay my mortgage and bills and also be able to eat every month. No more bail outs for Freddie Mac!!!!
