I think this company is trying to attract renters from cheap rental rates and try to make much more money from the mandatory insurance. I booked from economycarrentals, which is an online broker. I like this online broker because the price had always been final in the past. It always said that there is no extra mandatory charges at the desk. Since I booked many times and always noticed no more mandatory charges, I don't check this anymore when I booked this car. However, when I arrived to pick up my car, I was told that the total I need to pay at the desk is $508 instead of $116 for a 5 day rent of a full sized car. I think everybody would know that this is an extremely expensive especially when you have to take a shuttle from the airport. I am sure I can rent at halfe the price at most from any of the rentals at the airport. Furthermore, they wouldn't allow me to choose the car. The car that they picked for me is rather old and stinky inside. Yeah... But I am not sure if other rental companies would allow us to choose the car ourselves like what I did in Seattle. I missed my lunch when I picked up the car, so I went ahead with the contract so that I can my lunch. The next day we returned to the desk to return the car. But they wouldn't allow an early return. I know at least Alamo in Seattle allowed me an early return just a week before. As you can read reviews from other people too, I think the way this company work is by luring you with very attractive car rental rate, and try to charge you much more from the insurance. The insurance charge is about 3 times the car rental rate. My advise is to stay away from this company. I will never ever book from this company again, not from any Green Motion even if they give me 50% off from the market rate. Btw, I couldn't give a negative or zero star. I don't think this company even deserves a star.
