I bought a large bottle of Downy Free and Clear Fabric Softener. Within a week it had the consistency of pudding. I have just continued using it. There has been no problem with residue. I thought maybe it was a fluke until I came to this site. I will be changing brands. This is not what I expect from this brand. User's recommendation: Find another brand.
