I've never worked with more incompetent, unprofessional contractors in my life. They had no idea how to lay a simple vinyl floor. They took forever to schedule a time in the first place. Then they tried to cram a two-day job into six hours - the results looked like they crammed a two-day job into six hours. The first attempt left bubbles and slashes throughout. Also, they had no idea what a quarter turn was and the pattern did not flow. The second attempt left the installers confused when we tried to explain what a quarter turn was, so they left. They didn't bother to tell us they were leaving. Just left the new vinyl roll on the back patio and drove away. The third attempt, finally understanding the "pattern issue," laid down a new piece of vinyl that was the wrong color. They kept saying through their numerous emails that they "want to make things right." No, no they didn't. We finally hired a professional vinyl floor installer who was appalled by the horrible workmanship left behind. Romanoff's people put down a sub-floor, which we asked them NOT to do. They splashed some mud here and there and then wondered why most of the vinyl did not lay flat or adhere to the sub-floor. The professional installer removed their mess, applied ample mud evenly and correctly, then laid the vinyl with a perfect quarter turn - can't even see the seam. And, it took two days. Do not allow Romanoff Renovations in your house. Do not rely on Home Depot to hire competent contractors - find out who they are hiring and then do your research!
