John David Thames, owner of Thames Construction Company in Laurinburg, NC, has refused to complete the home repair work for which he was paid over $8000.00 by State Farm Insurance Company. JOHN DAVID THAMES is licensed ( NC license # 50270) as a general contractor in North Carolina and lives and works in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He took out a lien on my house for payment even though I did not have the money from the insurance company to pay him. When the insurance settlement arrived, I signed the check believing John David Thames would finish the job. However, EVEN AFTER repeated calls to his office and talking with his employee, Matt, John David Thames continues to refuse to finish the job. He did file the lien, so now I have a judgement on my credit report and he has over $8000.00. Wish I had listened to the Laurinburg residents who told me he had problems.
