Worst experience in my life. I checked my account balance on their app because I wanted to make a bunch of small purchases via PayPal. I made said purchases because the app showed a balance that would cover them, so I didn't give my account a second thought. A week later, I checked my account and that's when I saw it... $1800 in nsf charges! I called their 800 number, explained what had happened, she was helpful and great to deal with, she talked to her supervisor and came back with they could not reverse it because of the amount and I would have to go to my branch. So, feeling somewhat relieved, I went in the next day... .....the feeling of relief didn't last.... He would only give back a third of it and that it would be deposited in a couple of days. Now, a week and a half later, nothing... I have lost $1800 because I trusted them to do their job. Thank you Scotiabank for reinforcing that big bank stereotype.
