Customer since 1986 ordered off property

2

I had been a Customer of Phillips Chevrolet for 31 years, first purchasing a 1987 S-10 Pick-Up Truck in late 1986. In the past 4 years I've spent $100,000+ on 3 new Vehicles & 1 used vehicle. In the interim, I've brought my Son, Daughter, Brother and 3 Co-Workers there who purchased new vehicles. I've never had a problem with Phillips until the Strike in 2017. I called Service to bring my car in, due to the "Service Engine" light. They would not take it in due to the Strike, giving me a 3 week later Appt. Then they rescheduled it again. When I finally got the car in, the 36,000 mi Warranty had expired. I paid the $100 Co-Pay per the Extended Service Warranty. They told me it was the "Evaporative System" and I had to leave the Car. They refused to extend a Loaner as they promised when selling the Warranty. They refused to give me a Courtesy Ride Home, citing "the rules have changed". I had to take a Cab back to Manhattan and again a Cab ride back. Two days of work missed. I paid the $100 Co-Pay and left for home. Fifteen minutes later, the Service Engine light came on again. I called them immediately to inform. They said I had to make another Appt since the car was drivable. I had to wait almost 3 weeks (2 weeks 4 days) for the next Appt. Again, I had to take another day off. They told me they found an additional leak in the "Evaporative System" and repaired it. On the way home the Service Engine light came on again. They wouldn't let me return because the car was drivable. Again, a 3 week Appt. I had to take another day off for the Appt. This time they said, the light went out so there's nothing to fix; "if it happens again take another day off and bring it back"; and, I would have to make another $100 Warranty Co-Pay!!! ! I hollered, *** no! Fix my Car. Manager Dan Kachinski ordered me off the Company premises. I went outdoors and called the Frankfort Police Dept (Dec 2017) who took a detailed report. As I entered my vehicle, the Service Engine Light Came on again, witnessed by the Police. They recommended that I contact General Motors Corporate, which I did. An ON-STAR remote diagnosis informed me the problem was again, in the "Evaporative System". Phillips never repaired it or attempted to repair it. They lied. GM directed me to HAWK Chevrolet in Joliet who repaired the vehicle and I've had NO other problems. None of my Friends, Family members nor I will ever purchase a vehicle at Phillips Chevrolet again. NEVER. ~ Senior Citizens, William Eldridge & Charlie Ruth Haynes (31 yr Customer/ DONE)!!! Ph:(815) 478-****
