I have used Duracell for 50 years or more. They are fully capable of making the batteries not leak. I had no leakage from the USA made products. Now I have batteries that leaked in a clock damaging the contact springs beyond repair. I have gone to my battery storage box in my kitchen to find 2024 batteries leaking that were never removed from the box they were purchased in. They know why the batteries leak they just no longer care to fix the problem because we keep buying them. Not many people want to spend $100.00 in time to get a $20.00 refund. User's recommendation: Just vote with your dollar don't by the product and research to see if they make batteries under other names and don't buy that product. I am using rechargeable AAA and AA where I can. I have a headlamp that uses 3 AAA batteries a day rechargeables work great and have not damaged anything for years.
