Click link warranty scam

1

Got caught in the warranty scam. You have to wait until after the part is installed to register, but you only have 10 days to activate from day you receive the part. The dealer had to remove the old engine, then get the necessary parts to install the ordered engine. That was almost a month and a half after I ordered. Aside from being without my car for almost two months, coupled with all the other life issues, that's a lot to ask. Although I spoke to a rep on the phone a few times to complete the order, and he assured me of the 5 year 50k mile warranty, he never bothered to ask or mention if I had click that troublesome link. I've also now noticed there were previous complaints of that link. That would suggest that there is a problem with the process, or is that by design! So, now I have a recently dealer installed engine with a leaking rear seal and leaking valve cover.
