I brought a car from DT and made my payments 1week to 2weeks in advance. I still got calls from collectors demanding payment or they would repo the car. this continued for about a year, so I decided to get a car from a dealer and when my payment was due I returned the car back to DT the same day and when I arrived home I recieved a call from the collections dept. demanding payment or they would repo the car. I said go ahead, you can have it. A week later I recieved a letter from DT from Phoenix,AZ asking that i make my payment which is due and if I wanted to keep my car I would have to make a $6,000.00 thousand dollar payment as restitution to DT. Once they recieve that then I can continue making my regular payments. So, now I recieve a letter every 6 months asking me to settle the account for 10% of the balance or continue making my regular payment with an additional $1.55 processing fee for each payment I make. I believe these guys have been out in the sun too long.
