Wrongfully acuused amd aske to see underneath cloae
Update by user Jul 10, 2019 I was wearing a sweater and a rain jacket over it because it was raining and very cold out. I was only there to get a few specific items and was in a bit of a hurry so I wasnt really looking at much else. I never even picked up or touched an item the entire time I was there because I didnt find what I was looking for. When I was leaving the store the older male security guy stopped me and asked if I had anything that didnt belong to me and I was shocked and embarrassed but politely said no I do not. He then demanded to see inside my purse and I showed him I had nothing. Then he said he thought I had something under my clothing and asked me to lift my shirt to show him under my sweater in the front of the store enterance in front of everyone. I said I would not do that. I also said if he had a problem with that he could feel free to call the police and he would not. I asked him what I had done to warrant his accusations and he told me that he never seen me take or conceal anything the entire time I was in the store and that no one had told him he should check to see if I stole before I left. It was just something he decided to do for no reason without any cause. I also told him that I was not refusing because I didnt intend to cooperate but because he is a man asking to see underneath my clothing and it was sexual harassment. I also told him to call the manager and if they were a woman I'd gladly show her under my clothes. However I was humiliated in front of everyone as the manager didnt even bother to take me somewhere I could show her in a more appropriate private setting. When I showed her I had nothing she apologized for the misunderstanding and offered me a 10% discount next time I came there. I will never be going back there. There was no misunderstanding as to why he was demanding me to lift my top to show him what I had underneath because he said he never saw me do anything suspicious. I think a 10 % discount is a total slap in the face and in no way makes up for the humiliation and deformation of my character by portraying me to other members of my community as a thief. I think what I have suggested as compensation for their disgusting accusation and harrasment is more than fair.
