Why was my account closed?. I was trying to make a payment online and could not find my account

Tried to call. Entered my information. Got message saying I reached them "after hours". They are supposed to be open until 8PM. I owe a small amount on my car loan(I blieve it was $56). I tried to get online to make a payment. But my account i not online. Got a message saying "no active account associated with that e-mail". Now my credit score went down 50 points because my account was reported as "closed".
