Walgreen sucks
3
Walgreen sucks. My doctor increased my pain medication after getting the results of my MRI and seeing the condition of my cervical spine. I called Walgreens to ask when my next prescription would be available, due to the medication change. I wanted to make sure if I started taking four per day that I would have medication available when I was out. The pharmacist assistant assured me there would be no problem due to the physician instructions. I relied on the info provided and went about my business. Time comes to refill my meds, Walgreens refuses to refill until 30 days from the date of my original prescription. When I question them, theyre telling me my doctors office put a note saying not to fill it. Dr. denies having put any qualifications on my prescription order. I now have several days that I can only take half of my medication dose thanks to Walgreens miss informing me, or potentially worse - lying to me. Who knows for sure. Either way Walgreen shouldnt be controlling my medication, they should be cooperating with my doctors instructions. I will be changing pharmacies immediately As this is not the first time I relied on what they said and it was false. Its not the end of the world, I still have some medication that will help me. But I expect to be extremely uncomfortable for a few days thanks to this bull&)7@, and there is simply no reason for this. My only real complaint here is then giving patients incorrect information that they rely on. I am not trying to be an expert on the rules and how things are supposed to work with opioids. I really dont know all of that and I dont care Im just a patient trying to get through the day, every day, in extreme pain. User's recommendation: Find a pharmacy other than Walgreens.
