Progressive charged my husband a $15 charge because his online payment did not go through. They said it was insufficient funds, but he had adequate funds in his checking account, so the account number might have been entered wrong, either on his side or their side, but they couldn't tell him what was entered. They said they didn't have a record of it. He had paid it two weeks before it was due, and he was notified the next week, so we still had a week before it was due. The insurance company refused to waive the charge, even though they couldn't tell him what the account number was that was entered. User's recommendation: Instead of paying online, mail in your payment.
