I received a demand for arrears TV license fee for myself, Mrs SS Botha, ID nr [protected], TV License nr: [protected]. After numerous emails to the debt collectors and the licence department, informing them that this arrears amount is incorrect, as me and my husband has been staying together in one household for the past 14 years (and by law are required to take out one TV licence - which my husband have done in his name), this seems to be removed from my name. However, when my husband Mr HJ le Roux, ID nr [protected], TV Licence nr: [protected] wanted to pay our TV licence, he was informed that the arrears amount was moved from my name to his name!! The reminder he received stated an amount of R265; when he got to the Post Office to pay this, he was informed this amount is now almost R5000!! Can this mess please be sorted out and the arrears amount removed from both of us' names!!
