I visited the carter's at the biltmore square outlet, at 800 brevard road, asheville, nc 28806 on april 19th. I purchased some items, got in line behind a young lady that it was apparent was either a friend or employee, since the cashier had so much interactions. I waited for her to finish her transaction moved up and the cashier, closed his register, walked away, never said a thing, but proceeded to the back got an umbrella and left. The other cashier beside him asked was he leaving and he said yes. I said "really", this is ridiculous, he never said a thing and just left me standing there. The other cashier said she will help me next, which was nice, but the point is the way this cashier handled this situation which was terrible customer service. After the other cashier finished my transaction this young man came back (thank goodness I didn't wait) and proceded to tell the other cashier he walked the young lady to her car, really, while customers wait??? This was not good customer service and then I found out that he was the manager. Carter better take a good look at this because if this is how he treats all customers, especially african americans, houston you have a problem. I don't intend to patronize this store again since there are so many baby stores in this mall, but the same way he turned me off, I am sure it will effect many more customers. I believe his name was eric, but can't find the piece of paper he gave me with the customer service number. Terrible customer service!
