Well DCH in Freehold wanted to replace my transmission for a torque converter problem ! Thank God I took it to a specialized trusted transmission repair shop! That the cost was 1000 compared to the over 5000 they wanted to charge me, for a new transmission I admired their service, But now it comes to a trust issue was I misguided unpurpose for this issue or was it a mistake upon the mechanic diagnosing this issue? I wonder how many others are experiencing this shutter issue on their Toyota Camry s and replaced their transmissions? Make sure you get second opinions upon this issue do not be deceived ,Toyota upgraded their torque converters for their 2012 models, There was a recall, But I believe this issue affects older models too after my experience, As well as my research on complaints, ,Toyota needs to back up their faulty parts! Not place the customer as fault and to overcharge them thousands for something other then what it is! I owned a total of 4 Toyota s I loved the cars and the service now after this! I am no longer sure trust is the issue. Maybe money is needed for the life's we lost before over denial? Well this problem is out there ! So are we going to wait till a life is lost because of denial again ? Or do something about it! Please post or contact Motor Corp if you are experincing this same problem shuttering when accerating and letting off pedal or going over 35 to 40 miles per hour and it happens most likely it is a Torque Converter issue!
