This complaint is about Crown Boiler Series BWC070 gas fired direct vent condensing unit. it was installed in 2012 and had a major failure within 1 and 1/2 season of operation. Crown was none responsive, it was out of warranty and good luck. I must say, the unit, when it works is very efficient but not Reliable. Last year, 2017 winter it started to not fire up, limped along 2017/2018 winter. I could get it to run by powering down for a few minutes and then turn it back on. Now I did a test before winter sets in and found out it fires up but crashes at end of first heating cycle. The error faults vary each attempted reset cycle. Crown/Velocity even when the original installer calls for tech support are not helpful and could care less. I don't feel like replacing major components every couple of years. Have no recourse now but to rip it out and replace it at this point.
