On several deliveries recently the packages have been thrown over our gate onto the drive. There they soak up the rain. They were not as stated by the courier "handed to the resident". The gate code is part of our address. Why is it not always used? I sent you a photo of one package which was thrown over the gate and contained two drinking glasses . Obviously the problem has still not been resolved. Packages can be put out of the rain by the front door and under the carport IF THE CODE IS USED TO OPEN THE GATE. If the postman and the milkman can use the gate code what is wrong with some Amazon couriers?
