I am an annual contributor and last year, was to receive 10 free trees: they arrived dead at the end of April. CS said they would replace them and I received 8 trees on Christmas Eve. Perfect timing. They all died, of course. In the meantime, I ordered a few flowering shrubs, none survived. I decided to try one more time and renewed my subscription and was to get 10 fall foliage trees. I received my 10 "fruit" trees yesterday, Memorial Day weekend when I am unable to plant them properly. Arbor Day should send a shipping announcement and they should send viable trees, not tiny twigs that never make it. I am done with Arbor Day. User's recommendation: Don't bother with the Membership "Free Tree" offer: 3 times, 30 dead twigs.
