I recieved a 3 day notice from the water DEP NYC for a water main line leak in front of my house. SO I contacted American Water Resourceson 4/21/21 and they sent their plumber on 04/22/21 to inspect the situation and was told they will come and fix it! I didnt hear anything from them after that. So I called back to confirm if they coming to serve my claim #clm567555 and fix the main water line leak, they said I need to fix an illegal connection by the meter inside my house first in order for them to process the claim and fix the leak! I called a licensed plumber and got it fixed on 04/23/21 and I sent them an email with pic repair job of the connection. I called AWR on 04/26/21 to check on my claim multiple times and sent them photos of the pipe after the repair as they requested. As of now they said my insurance claim to fix the water main line leak was denied! I am a current customer ! That is scam from their side to avoid paying for the legal calim! I was told by the DEP that American Water Resources play games with customers so they dont have to pay for the claims! They were right.
