I purchased four Thermodyne Wind Turbines. Two of them had the coil burn up and the other 2 had the brackets break. These things are made poorly and are dangerous and in one instance the entire front of the bracket cracked leaving the generator head free to fall and injure someone. You would think that someone when confronted with having a safety hazard on the market would want to get the product back. Not the people at Thermodyne. The brilliant people’s solution was to replace product. Sound like a great idea get another set of defective product to break and hope no one in injured. This product is defective and the bracket literally exploded in a tilting configuration in wind less than 50 mph. The entire reason we bought these was the advertisement that they could handle high wind. We are relatively rural and no one was around when this happened. With this type of dangerous product the next guys may not be so lucky so I am writing this since the company does not have the decency to pull their defective product.
