The worse consumer experience in 50 years.

*This is my letter to Firestone Headquarters. No one made a response to my abusive treatment at Firestone. 8/27/2020 Firestone Executive Office 200-4th Ave S. Nashville, TN 37241 Dear Sir/Madan, Firestone Store #793848 Incident Report of 8/25/2020. Since 2010, my wife and I only used our local Firestone “Complete Auto Care” for our 5 different vehicles. On Tuesday 8/24/2020, I walked into your “Auto Complete Care” located at 615 W. El Norte Pkwy in Escondido, CA 92026. Your employee (there were no business cards at this location), a Caucasian woman was there. I said, I need to have the little plastic door handled on the drive side inside my car replaced. It was broken and I could not open the door to get out of my car. I also said, the “Service Engine Light” is on. I think it was the sensor that controls the headlights power when the sun goes down. It wasn’t working. So, I made an appointment for 8/25/20 at 10 AM. I arrived at 9:45. The same lady was there, and we talked briefly about what work to do on my car. It was kind of a slow morning with only one customer waiting. Great, I could be back on the road in a reasonable amount time. Well, that did not happen. Your lady employee said the cost of my repairs should be around $350. to replace a plastic door handle and a sensor test. After nearly 3 hours, I asked the lady if she ordered the sensor. She said “no” like you would to an annoying child. After I said, “in three hours you only replaced a plastic door handle?” Without answering my question, she turned away and went into the shop. Later, the lady employee said two oxygen sensors need to be replaced. The estimated cost is around 700. I wonder now, how it could be two oxygen sensors. The headlight function was working again. I sat down for nearly another hour hoping that the work will be completed. I had to endure your piranha lady employee with the I could care less about old people and US Veterans demeanor. During my nearly 4 hour wait, at least 2 dozen other customers had their work completed before me. What can that old man do to us anyway? What is that called, really? Let’s do the tire work before that old man in the corner, because that is the kind of auto shop we really are. You can make a lot more money in less time working on installing new tires. (You can check everything in this letter via your computer system.) So, finally after enduring this experience for nearly 4 hours. The big guy employee said, your car is ready. He handed me an invoice for $1099.74. At that time, I told him that I have been going to Firestone “The Complete Auto Care Company” for 10 years. And at 74, this was the worse abuse of a customer that I that ever had in my life. He was trying to give me that usual, oh I am so sorry for the wait boloney crap. I told him that he was a bunch of crap. He didn’t like the idea that I used the word crap OMG. I was trapped like a dog and I had to sign that invoice for 1100.00! Then the big said, “Let me open the door for you”. I said someone could be opening a door for you. And, the big guy said loudly, “and have a good day. Trying to get me to release every know curse word in response. What a rookie. And, he’s your big guy. In addition, I am a disabled US veteran person who is trying to raise funds for my back surgery. The VA will not approve it. (This is another lovely story about the VA). I really needed to go home and lie down. My back felt like it was going to crack in half. I couldn’t get up to go outside. My seat would be taken. My cell phone was dead. So, I couldn’t call for a car service. My hands were shaking. I had to get out of there. I couldn’t eat anything all day. There was no water in your place of business. So, tell me, was this a common, systemic Firestone customer trick to generate more money for “The Complete Auto Care Company” and more labor work money for the 3-4 complete mechanic who were in the shop on that day ? Is there a Class Action suit in this story? Are you employees trained in Customer Care? Evidently, they are not. Did you ever write-up or fire an employee for unsatisfactory behavior? So now, I ask you, The Complete Auto Care Firestone Company. What are you going to do about this gross abuse of a senior who was a foolish and faithful customer? Do I need to go online everywhere to get justice? Please respond quickly. Victor Malafronte (The address on your invoice #011200 is my former residence in 2010. And, yes, no one asked me if my information was current.) People Consumers! Don’t go to Firestone. They don’t have piranhas or goons at Discount Tire! User's recommendation: mation was current.) People Consumers! Don’t go to Firestone. They don’t have piranhas or goons at Discount Tire.
