Update by user Oct 24, 2018 After numerous paypal requests for a refund (she kept cancelling the requests stating she had already sent it), found out she sent a refund to the WRONG email even though she had been paid that way by me. What a crock....she then stated she tried to get it to me at the email address supplied by PayPal at the beginning which was also a lie!! I contacted my bank and had the transaction cancelled after a week of trying with her to get this back. BEWARE OF THIS WOMAN WHO CLAIMS TO BE A PROFESSIONAL!!! Every woman in the world dreams of this day....now can you imagine a wedding photographer that does not respond back the day of the event and THEN texts 30 minutes before to tell you she is sick and has to CANCEL??!! Who in their right mind would ever to do that to most special event of someones life??!! Well let me tell you who will do this to you...CHELSEA BRITO from Tampa Florida, that's who. Now for the a little bit of back story. My fiance contacted Chelsea off of Letgo since she advertised an hourly rate for wedding photography and we were on a tight budget. She seemed pleasant enough and my now wife and her had a nice dialogue...matter of fact another couple we are friends with were getting married before us and we gave out her name to our friend and they also hired her and she gave us a package deal to do both weddings. The first one was in Saint Petersburg which she attended (although she showed up late since she had a hard time finding the site in the park even though there is only one road in and out). She performed her job and left...all without a hitch for our friends wedding...now fast forward to ours...We had to contact her to arrange the deposit payment, which we did as she instructed through PayPal. This was done two days BEFORE the event as agreed. The day of our event we texted her at 9:30 in the morning (she was to show up at 4 PM), to which she NEVER responded and you can imagine we were very busy preparing for this 5 PM event. As we are making our final preparations (getting ready and into our wedding clothes) we see a text she sent to us at 3:20 saying she was SO SICK and she could not make it...she was sorry she had to cancel and would return our money. NOW, I don't know about anyone else but.....return of money does not make a very special day come around again..right? Ladies can you imagine my wife's extreme disappointment here??!! You can probably imagine how UPSET I WAS TOO. Our event was great and although we had many people taking pictures the ONE person that was supposed to make our day even MORE special was a NO SHOW....just imagine that for a second!!! We have decided this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN to anyone again and will now make it our goal to make sure everyone we can get to with this information does not make the mistake of hiring this woman to photograph such a special event and disappoint another bride and groom.
