I have heard from Lowes Home Improvement which is where I bought my Kobalt product. They advised that I return the product given the warranty. I have not done that yet ( its next town over about a 25 minute drive). But should be interesting as when my husband inquired at the Lowes about what to do in the situation, he was advised by customer service to get in contact with Kobalt. Mind you we have had to return several items as they were defective from start. Brand new , in the box, and already defective. We are remodeling our home so these times are inconvenience. Should be interesting. More to come.
