I have Solstice dental discount "Plus plan one." I went to one of their dentists that honor their plan-Great Expressions, Boynton Beach, Fl. I asked the amount, with my discounted plan, to replace a crown. They said it would be $925. So, the amount is $525 in the Solstice list of fees. Where did the $400 come from?? Not on the Solstice fee schedule. It's code #10301, which is a fee that the dentist office tacks on for a "special crown" AKA Alternative Benefits???? So, like Humana, they are sticking another $400 on the price of the crown that the uninformed patient is responsible for! I will drop Solstice, and Great Expressions, and find a legitimate avenue! Buyer beware!
