NOT authorized by DAVID VINCENT, but done at shops discretion, per shop owner, to smooth out rough running motor ONAN generator does not operate. Informed DAVID VINCENT and authorized R&R of necessary parts Found generator fuel pump inoperable - R&R with new pump Found filter clogged - R&R filter Found Carburetor fouled - Removed, cleaned and replaced New spark plugs installed Adjusted all systems to running requirements. NOTE discovered NO OUTPUT FROM GENERATOR TO 120 VOLT SYSTEM after repairs (another item NOT reported by DUGWAY PROVING GROUNDS) Replaced 2 each coach batteries as needed to operate generator and interior lighting **This total 1 motor battery and 2 deep cycle coach batteries for a total of 3 new battery replacements** David Vincent received coach from AutoMotion/NAPA in Midvale and was made aware of rough running motor AND WAS ASSURED that it would be fine as soon as the coach was filled with premium gas it was at this time DAVID VINCENT Found out that SEAFOAM had been added to the fuel and oil system without his permission or knowledge Coach was driven across the street from AutoMotion/NAPA to SHELL fueling station and immediately filled with 80 gallons of premium gas Coach was then driven 7 miles to CAMPING WORLD to have water, grey water and propane serviced. Though coach was running extremely rough DAVID VINCENT did not worry to much as he was relying on the assurance given to him that things would get better in a couple of miles. By the time DAVID VINCENT reached CAMPING WORLD vehicle would barely run. DAVID VINCENT asked CAMPING WORLD to examine the coach again, but, was informed they did not do mechanical work and it would need another shop. DAVID VINCENT asked for a recommended location and was told to go to AutoMotion/NAPA since they were specialists in RVs. DAVID VINCENT refused since the coach had just come from there and it was 7 miles back. DAVID VINCENT was then referred to Riverton Motor Group (Chevrolet) just 4 miles away. Coach was limped over there and DAVID VINCENT was informed that since it was Friday night it would take till Monday to be diagnosed. The following Monday Ron Knapp the service manager called and reported that the coach would need a full major tune up including all filters, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and misc. parts and labor. Work was preformed and 2 days later the coach was ready to pick up. DAVID VINCENT received the coach STILL RUNNING ROUGH but was again assured that AutoMotion/NAPA had done the right thing and in fact the motor would smooth out more after driving it a while The coach was returned to the motel (1 mile away) and prepared for travel to Florida by installing new wiper blades and head light. As well as light packing of suitcases and some food stuffs. The following morning at 8 am DAVID VINCENT checked out of the hotel expecting to leave. The coach felt only slightly better running but not much. Assured it would be ok DAVID VINCENT headed toward to freeway I15. But before reaching the freeway DAVID VINCENT realized that things were not as right as expected and attempted to return to the Riverton Motor Group for a further check up to be sure. The coach completely stopped running 1.3 miles from the dealership and refused to restart leaving the coach stuck in the turn lane going to the dealership. A towing company was called and truck dispatched as well as the South Jordan Police to direct traffic. Tow company arrived and returned coach and DAVID VINCENT to the Riverton Motor Group for diagnosis yet again. DAVID VINCENT was taken back to the Super R Motel to wait until the next day for diagnosis of the problem again. DAVID VINCENT was again contacted the following day by Ron Knapp with the startling new of why the coach was running so badly. It seems that at least 3 valve push rods were BENT AND BROKEN and no one had bother to check it out assuming that the first recommendation from the DUGWAY motor pool was correct and it ONLY NEEDED A BATTERY TO RUN AGAIN NOW DAVID VINCENT is facing another $4500 on top of the already $15,037.17 spent on the $3375.85 coach so far, and this is only an estimate for the top end. It is entirely likely the entire motor will need to be replaced at a cost of over $13,850.00 additional bringing the cost toa total of $28,896.17 for a coach that only cost $3375.85 originally. The staff at DUGWAY never informed Ritchie Brothers of the true damage to the coach, nor was it disclosed by Ritchie Brothers that DAVID VINCENT COULD NOT go onto the base to pick up the coach because it is a top-secret nerve gas storage location until AFTER the coach was paid for, at which time DAVID VINCENT would have rejected the coach. Ritchie - Brothers only showed some mud on the bottom of the coach in pictures that were posted on line and NOT any information to the true extent of how thick it was. DUGWAY Testing Grounds did NOT provide information about the coach having been buried in mud beyond its axels and was only discovered AFTER coach was paid for and d4livered to BULLOCKS TOWING yard and DAVID VINCENT was allowed to inspect upon arriving from a flight from Florida over 72 hours later. ***It should be noted that there was front end damage done by BULLOCKS TOWING SERVICE upon DAVID VINCENTS arrival AND that BULLOCKS TOWING SERVICE did not have the ability to jump start the vehicle for DAVID VINCENT it check the running or non-running condition and was not discovered until over 2 weeks later at the fiberglass repair facility*** It should also be noted that DUGWAY PROVING GROUNDS has refused to provide ANY information about the coach, how it was maintained, or any records pertaining to the coach. They have also failed to provide the PF-97 (title) though paid for in a timely manner as required. Coach was purchased on July 15, 2020 and the current date is August 30, 2020. Thus the coach is still under the ownership of the United States Army and the United States Army must then be held accountable for all repairs paid for by DAVID VINCENT and accept the coach back plus repay DAVID VINCENT for all expenses associated with the coach to this point including and not limited to food, flights, hotel bills, insurance, and loss of use and time User's recommendation: Avoid doing business with this comapny.
