A Solar Company calls you on the phone or comes to the door to sell you on Solar Panels. It does not matter how large or small the system here is what you NEED to know before you think Solar. 1 Solar Panel in 2018 will most likely produce 1 kWh of electricity a day ON A GOOD DAY. For most of us that is about 13 cents worth of electricity a day. The cost per installed Solar Panel is about $1000. It will take you about 21 years of PERFECT days to break even. Most places only see about 60% of perfect days, so 37 years to break even IF you did not finance the system. There is no good news, if it sounds too good to be true it isn't. Put that money in the bank and use the interest to pay your electric bill, you will save more in the long run. The salesman will use "fuzzy math" to hide the truth or he will just LIE.
