Signature Alert will do whatever it takes to walk with your money

This frusterated Oregonian educated himself on the workings of a devious business. The name of the game is high-pressure sales and no opportunity to back out. Give and inch, and they are trained to take a mile. Let me tell you how it works. Based in Utah, these clowns travel to 2 or 3 cities each summer for a 'promotional sales event'. They'll set up a temporary headquarters with about 10 sales representatives supported by a team of 5 or 6 installation technicians. Sales reps head out door-to-door and will say just about anything to make it into your living room. IF a sales rep manages a sale, a text message goes out to an installation tech and within 20 minutes he arrives at your door with an alarm under one arm and a drill in his free hand. The technician has been trained to advise you on one or two suitable locations for your alarm panel, and then to put *** in your wall AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. The 30 minute period between handshake and hole in the wall is brief by design - no time to reconsider. Some carry a tub of putty, but repair is offered as a last resort, and only if a doing so will save a sale. No sale, no repair. Technicians are paid per-job, so it's in their best interest to be done with you as quickly as possible. 2 or 3 installations in a day is great money. You have a risk-free 3 day period during which you can try out the system and cancel with no reprocussions. Good luck getting through to anyone inside of that period... chances are your first meaningful conversation with customer service will take place once you're locked into a 60 month contract. This company is currently running in the red. They have illegally withheld commission checks from employees since 2009. As far as Signature Alert management is concerned, lying and cheating are not unethical... they're successful and viable business tactics. If you notice the Signature Alert brand around your city or town this coming summer, do your community a huge favor and speak out. Write your newspaper, call local radio stations... do whatever you can to warn those around you that Signature Alert's promises ARE too good to be true. Protect yourself and your neighbors from a business that rewards all manner of sales, no matter how dirty or deceitful. It's my strong personal belief that our society is just about to outgrow this kind of aggressive, manipulative and misleading business model. The sooner Signature Alert and its brand of filthy business are phased out, the better for all of us.
