Solar is NOT cost effective. We called to have our panels shut off &;;;;;;;; I was told we couldnt because we had agreed in contract to keep them at least 6 years & then we have the option to buy. They offer no discounts to seniors. We are paying more for Solar than we were paying for electric through the utility. We do not remember ever being told we could not cancel if we were unhappy. In fact I believe we were told the opposite. Stay away from Vivint! The cost of leasing increases annually also. User's recommendation: Don’t get Solar through Vivint.
