My brother purchased me a pair of custom vans and when they wet arrived we opened the box and were immediately met with an extremely foul chemical smell. My son (who was on the other side of the room) and I both immediately broke out into itchy hives... We happen to own an air quality meter that measures formaldehyde and VOCs among other rhings which we placed next to the shoes. The results were eye opening to say the least and we took a picture of the reading if you would like to see it for yourselves. User's recommendation: Be aware the Formaldehyde was over 500 and the VOC’s were over 3000.
