Service problems, car making noise
My name is Husnu Evren Kaynak. In October 2017, I have leased a Panamera base model from Chandler Porsche, AZ. For 9 months, I had no problem driving the car, in fact I enjoyed it very much. Then in June, the car started making a rattling noise, coming from the right front side, after a couple of minutes of starting the engine. The sound is of rattling quality, and would disappear after driving for 10 minutes. Then it would come again, after prolonged parking. Very annoying sound, and it would continue a second or two after I killed the engine. I took time from my very busy clinic/hospital schedule and drove it back to Chandler from Yuma AZ, twice in June of 2018, and they told me that they have not heard the rattling noise. I took the car back. Then I took it to the service in San Diego, another 2.5 hours of driving, and over there they inspected the car for a few hours, and I was told again, that they could not hear the rattle. I did not despair, and I took a whole day off from the hospital and my surgery schedule again, and took the car this time to North Scottsdale Porsche. They examined for a few hours, and they said they can not hear the rattle coming from the right front side. I told them that the sound does not come from warm engine, but they did not want to hold the car over the weekend. Here I am in Yuma, and everyday, in the morning and in the evening, I have to drive to and back from work, with an engine making a rattling sound, almost like a field tractor. I am extremely annoyed. If Porsche can not find out what is wrong with this car, and makes me drive around in Arizona from dealer to dealer, maybe it should not be advertised as luxury cars. I have lost complete joy of driving this car, and in fact I am not driving it anymore, it is sitting in my garage, and I am driving my wife's Range Rover Velar. I would like to demand from Porsche to find and fix this problem once and for all, send a tow truck to my house and take it to a dealer, and have it fixed. If that is not an option, I would like to break my lease, I do not want to pay more than 1500 dollars a month for 2 more years for a car, that I will not be driving. I really hope you can solve this problem, I do not want to contact and obtain legal action. Please let me know how you would like to handle this problem. Best, H.Evren Kaynak, MD
