Seat assignment is incorrect

I paid for extra legroom and bought the middle seat for my husband, my two cats and I. When I checked in online, I was assigned to Row 25 by the restrooms. I couldn't resolve the problem on the website. So I called customer service at 6 pm. I was on hold for over 3 HOURS. Finally an agent picked up and then the call was cut off after 4 minutes with no resolution. So we got to the airport early for the 11:34 flight only to find out it was delayed for 3 hours. But, the agent at the ticket counter got us on a flight that was 2 hours later than the original and we did get the seats we paid for. User's recommendation: Don't bother calling customer service with a problem.
