Sale of Goods for vacant lease

Today 3/26/2021 my business partner and I had an appointment to a deal agreed on 3/22/2021 with this company to bill of sale for inventory in one of the vacant suite in Cedar Hill location. We were just informed today that the owner changed his mind and didn't want to do the deal after we had went to the bank on 3/22/2021 to provide a cashier's check to purchase the inventory. The agreement was that we needed to schedule a truck to pick up the inventory and that was scheduled for today 3/26/2021. When my business partner reached out yesterday to the broker Stephanie Jacobs he received no response. Today an hour before the meet up on 10:30 am time agreed on we were called and informed that the owner changed his mind. Asking for compensation for the truck we had to rent for today because it had to be scheduled and at least 24 hours notice if we were to cancel I requested to Stephanie if she would ask the owner to refund us on the invoice. Stephanie informed me that the owner refuses to pay and compensation for the truck rental. Then we were informed if we signed a lease that they would do the deal but we had to sign the lease today. I'm writing this to inform you if you do business with this company please get everything in writing up front and don't agree to any deals. When requesting to speak to the owner directly he acts as if he can't discuss anything with the people he does business with. Lesson learned today. I would give them a negative 5 stars if I could. Money and time wasted today.
